Reminder – Declaration of Interests
Members should consider the following interests and whether they have any
they should declare.

Where it might reasonably be regarded that a matter will affect the
well-being or financial position of you, a member of your family, any person
with whom you have a close association, or any person or body with which you
or they are involved or in which they have a relevant beneficial interest,
to a greater extent than the majority of people affected by the decision.
In this case you should declare the interest and state the nature of it.
Personal and Prejudicial Interests:
Where a personal interest is thought to be so significant that a member of
the public, with knowledge of the facts, would consider it likely to
prejudice the member’s judgment of the public interest.

leave the meeting room.

are in any doubt as to whether you have an interest you should seek advice
before the Committee meeting from either Richard Shortman or Stephen

In the interest of health & safety, and personal safety, please make this
announcement before the start of your conference.
• Fire alarm testing is performed on Friday’s from 09.30 – 10.30.
• If the fire alarm should sound outside of these times, please leave the
building immediately by the nearest fire exit, without collecting any
belongings.
In the event of a fire press the nearest break glass and evacuate the
building immediately using the nearest fire exit.
Involvement of Public in Local Committees
Local committees are intended to be inclusive and involve local residents
and stakeholders. Anyone resident in the area is welcome to attend their
local committee - dates and venues will be published on the Council's
website (www.sutton.gov.uk) and on borough notice boards.
The Chair shall have discretion to invite comments from members of the
public on specific items while they are being discussed. Residents may also
request the right to raise issues, not on the agenda, at the Chair’s
discretion.

We are reminded that our local Area
Committee is open to the public. The next meeting of the Cheam North and
Worcester Park Area Committee will be held at the St Bedes's Centre (rear St
Anthony's Hospital) on Tuesday 1 July starting at 7.30 pm The attached
agenda shows an item (8) on preparations for Take Part Take Pride Week
Events. Ours is the Neighbourhood Walk scheduled for Saturday 12th July. You
are all invited to attend on 1 July to take part in group discussions on
ways of encouraging participation in the Walk. Hope to see you there.
